Subinso No2 is one of the study villages under the
Obaapa project. It is situated along the Techiman - Bamboi road and is
under the jurisdiction of the Wenchi site.
On the 21st of April
2006 the administration of KHRC was informed of an outbreak of fire in
the community. The Administration immediately returned the message with
a visit to the community to sympathize with them. The Centre from there
decided to donate to the community bales of used clothing. The target
group was the children and the women who we considered as the most vulnerable
group.
Staff members expressed their sympathy
by voluntarily donating to the community large amount of their unused
clothing. This was followed up with two bales of used clothing at a cost
of four million cedis. This was also donated to the community by the Director
of the Centre (Seth Owusu-Agyei), Administrator-General (Jacob Saah)
and the Deputy Accountant (Pearl).
“It is worthy at this stage to note
that KHRC has established a strong bond with the communities in which
we work in. As such, members of the communities always feel free to come
to us when there is a problem and the Centre has never hesitated to help
in its own small way when ever the need arises.
