Educational Background:

David  studied at the School of Medical Laboratory (1988-1990) and obtained a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology. From 1996-1998, he studied and obtained Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (Distinction) from University of Ghana, Legon and followed this up with a BSc Biochemistry (2001-2003) from the same University.

He Attended a 3-week certificate course in Quantitative Medical Research at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Aug 7 – 25, 2000.

Work Experience:

Between 1991 - 1996, he worked as Medical Laboratory Technician with Onchocerciasis Chemotherapeutic Research Centre (OCRC), Hohoe, Volta Region after a one-year internship programme with the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra-Ghana. In 2000 - 2003, he worked as Laboratory Technologist at Department of Chemical Pathology, University of Ghana Medical School, Ghana after a one-year internship programme with Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He is currently a Laboratory Technologist at Kintampo Health Research Centre, Ghana.

David has an extensive experience in Laboratory support for clinical trials, Haematological, microbiological and biochemical analysis of clinical laboratory samples. Additionally, he has an in-depth experience in the use of laboratory auto analyzers and In-vitro culture/study of Onchocerca vulvulus macrofilariae

He is registered member of the Ghana Association of Biomedical Scientists (GABS) and the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). He belongs to the Management Scientists(MS) and Laboratory Information Systems and Medical Informatics (LISMI) Divisions of the AACC
